Introduction to Securities & Investment

Programme Aim
This module has been specifically designed to meet the needs of new entrants to the
financial service industry irrespective of their level of experience. The syllabus allows
the qualification to be taken by a range of staff not just those in traditional investment
administration but also those in areas including IT, HR, Marketing, Secretarial etc.

Programme Overview
This programme is a stand alone benchmark examination as well as one technical
unit within the globally recognised Investment Administration Qualification (IAQ™).
Candidates who complete three technical units (or two technical units plus the Irish
Stock Exchange Registered Representative exam) will be eligible to be awarded the
International IAQ™ (Ireland) and Associate Membership of the Securities and
Investment Institute (SII).
