The Maltese Connection

While accompanying Irish President Mary McAlesse on an official visit to Malta, Foreign Affairs Minister Dermot Ahern took time out of a packed schedule to visit an Optimum Results initiative. The Management Skills Development Programme involves nearly 60 SMEs in various aspects of Maltas tourism, hospitality and catering sector, and is supported by EU funding and The Malta Tourism Authority. This training programme is being delivered over a 6-month period in conjunction with MISCO, one of Maltas leading training and consultancy practices.

Mr Joseph Tanti, Director of Training at the Malta Tourism Authority, told Minister Ahern that the vast experience of Optimum Results has impacted greatly on the programme. Morgan Parnis, MISCOs Head of the Training Division, has been a regular visitor to our Dundalk office where he experienced our SME development work at first hand. Optimum Results and MISCO are now joint venture partners in a number of other EU projects in Malta and elsewhere.
